All activities are led by your experienced host and guide, the company president Richard Bowering.

Richard

Richard has toured the world and can entertain you with stories from scuba diving, mountain climbing, paddling, skiing and just exploring interesting places. Richard loves to share his skills as a ski instructor at Blue Mountain for 38 years, and a paddle Canada SUP and Kayak instructor for 10. A strong booster of what our area has to offer guests he gives that energy to his positions on the Boards of RTO7 and the Friends of the Minesing Wetlands. A father of 4 and grandfather to 6 he delights in putting smiles on the faces of young people by providing them with opportunities to learn about the world around them.

Moe

This dynamic young lady is returning to Eagle Adventures and the Bowering Lodge for her second year. A student at Lakehead University where she is pursuing her degree in Outdoor Recreation, Parks and Tourism she brings a wealth of experience to the team. Born and raised in Thornbury she is well versed in all the great experiences our area offers.  Certified in canoeing, kayaking and sailing and with experience as an overnight camp counsellor, she is ideally suited to enhance your visit and to manage our kids paddling camp.

Ryan

Ryan is the owner’s youngest son. This gentle giant is 6 ft 7  and beside him is his pet dog Nanaimo.  Need a kayak loaded on the top deck, call Ryan. A diesel mechanic by trade he keeps Eagle Adventures on the road and also digs holes for our Lodge projects with his on site heavy equipment. Skilled in everything outdoors you can find him lending a hand with kayak tours, climbing a rock face or showing his FIS racing skills on the ski slopes.

Carlin

Carlin Val is the owner of At Last Adventures and partners with Eagle MaxAdventures for caving and climbing adventures.He and Pat are instrumental in developing new caving experiences in our area. With over 20 years experience guiding rock climbing and caving trips.  He is passionate about giving you an adventurous experience that you will always remember.  Join him on an adventure and you will not be disappointed.

Carlin has climbed all over the world including, a handful of mountains in Peru, climbed through South East Asia, and all over the North American Continent.    He has a passion for expeditions and has biked across Canada, spent 3 weeks sumitting Mount McKinley in Alaska, and although having 3 small children at home and a professional career, he is constantly planning micro adventures to do with his growing family.   If he’s not guiding a tour, he will find him immersed somewhere in nature with his family.

Daniela

Daniela grew up in Romania where she spent every week-end hiking, skiing, camping or leading hikes as a mountain guide in Carpathian Mountains. After moving to Canada in 1996, she began solo hiking in Canada and Northern Eastern US. Her drive and passion for mountains, backpacking and new experiences led her to South America where she hiked various Andes ranges from Cordillera Blanca, Peru to Patagonia, Chile and then to Nepal where she trekked in Langtang Valley. She loves travelling because she spends time in the outdoors but also because of the people that she meets and the memories that she shares with them. Daniela holds an Outdoor Education Certification from Humber College, Ontario and a Level 1 Ski Instructor with the CSIA.
